Careers Dept. Welcome to the Careers Department

Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) is available to all students from Year 7 through to Year 13.

Mrs Smith is the Year 10 Work Experience and Year 12 Internship Co-ordinator for the school and she can be found in G Block (by the main entrance).

Mrs Beesley is commissioned by the school to provide Independent Advice and Guidance with regard to Careers and she is available in school on Tuesdays (6th Form) and Thursdays. Mrs Beesley is in the library over Tuesday lunchtimes when you can drop-in and see her - no appointment necessary.

Mrs Beesley is available to all students to offer independent careers advice in relation to

* Options in Year 8,

* further and higher education

* employment and apprenticeships.

All students have access to resources to assist in the compilation of CVs covering letters and completion of application forms.

All students are entitled to CEIAG which meets professional standards of practice. CEIAG will be integrated into all students' experience of the whole curriculum and be based on a partnership with students and their parents or carers. The programme will raise aspirations, challenge stereotyping and promote equality and diversity.

Guidance for Work Experience can be found in the Year 10 area.
